Method: Step 1) Take a bowl, add half ripe banana and mash using a fork or fingers
Step 2) Add 1 egg and whisk well
Step 3) Heat a pan and grease with oil or butter. Make tiny pancakes using a spoon. Cook bottom-side until light brown for 15 – 20 seconds. Flip and cook other side for 20 seconds or until light brown. Remove to a plate.
Egg pancake for baby ready..
For toothless baby, mash the pancakes ( 3 or 4 pancakes ), add half banana, mash together and feed. ( I gave this way for my baby until she started teething ( from 7 to 9 months )
For teething baby or baby with 2+ teeth, cut into tiny pieces and feed. ( Please see video for how to give tiny pieces for baby )
These pancakes are so soft & yummy, babies can eat easily without chewing.
By 7 months, your baby will be ready for 2 meals a day. You can offer breakfast and lunch. Breakfast between 9 am and 11 am. Lunch between 2 pm and 4 pm. Be flexible with the timings as it depends up on your baby’s sleep and wake-up cycle.
How much to feed for 7 months baby: You can feed around 1/4 cup or 3 tbsp
2 BREAKFASTS for 7 months baby
RECIPE #1 – OATS porridge for 7 months baby
Ingredients: oats – 1 cup ( or 250 gms ) for bulk powder
To make oats porridge: oats powder – 1 tbsp water – 1 cup ( or 250 ml )
Method: Step 1) Heat a big pan and roast the oats for 3 – 5 minutes until very hot to touch. Transfer to a plate and let it cool.
Step 2) Once cool to touch, grind into a fine powder and add into a clean container. note: If the oats powder container is hot to touch, let it cool completely before closing with a lid. Store this oats powder inside a kitchen cupboard/pantry and use up to 1 month.
To prepare oats porridge: Step 1) Take a sauce pan, add 1 cup water (250 ml) and 1 tbsp oats powder. Heat on high and bring it to a boil. Once it starts boiling, reduce heat to low and cook for 3 minutes. ( keep stirring to prevent scorching at the bottom of the pan). Once ready, pour into a bowl. Let it cool and then feed.
flavour #1 banana – add half of mashed ripe banana just before feeding for sweetness. flavour #2 baby formula – add 1 scoop baby formula just before feeding for a creamy taste.
RECIPE #2 – AVOCADO BANANA porridge for 7 months baby
Method: Step 1) Mash half of ripe avocado until smooth. To this add the ripe banana pieces and mash until smooth. Add into a bowl and feed.
2 LUNCH for 7 months baby
RECIPE #1 – BUTTERNUT SQUASH PUREE for 7 months baby
Ingredients: Butternut squash – half cup ( or 100 gms ) water – 1 cup ( or 200 ml )
Method: Step 1) Add the butternut squash pieces and water into a sauce pan. Bring it to a boil. Once it starts boiling, reduce heat to low and cook for 10 minutes. Let it cool before grinding.
Step 2) Add to a blender and grind for 20 seconds or until a smooth puree. Pour into a bowl and feed.
RECIPE #2 – DAL & PUMPKIN PUREE for 7 months baby
Ingredients: dal ( mung dal / yellow lentil ) – 1 tbsp pumpkin – 1/2 cup water – 1 cup ( or 200 ml )
Method: Step 1) Add the dal (mung dal / yellow lentil ), pumpkin pieces and water into a sauce pan. Bring it to a boil. Once it starts boiling, reduce heat to low and cook for 15 minutes. Let it cool before grinding.
Step 2) Add to a blender and grind for 20 seconds or until a smooth puree. Pour into a bowl and feed.
Ingredients: salmon fish fillet ( boneless / skinless ) – 100 gms sweet potato ( peeled & chopped ) – 1/2 cup or 100 gms water – 1 cup or ( 250 ml )
Method:
Step 1) Take a sauce pan, add the salmon fish pieces (boneless & skinless), sweet potato, water.
Step 2) Cover and bring it to a boil. Once it starts boiling, reduce heat to low and cook for 15 minutes.
Let it cool. Take a bowl, mash the cooked fish pieces, add sweet potato pieces , mash and mix .. Add cooked water to get a smooth consistency ( make an easy-to-swallow consistency for baby ) and feed. hope your baby likes it 😀
oats almond breakfast powder for 7 – 12 months baby
FOR 1 TIME USE ( oats almond powder & porridge recipe )
Ingredients: almond (badam) – 1 oats ( any oats ) – 1/4 cup or 2 Tbsp water – 1 cup ( 250 ml )
Method: Step 1) Take a grinder/mixie, add the oats powder, almond and grind into a fine powder. Add the powder into a sauce pan. Pour 1 cup water (250 ml) and mix.
Step 2) Heat on high and bring it to a boil. Once it starts boiling, reduce heat to low and cook for 3 minutes. let it cool..
Pour it into a bowl and feed..
How much to feed: for 7 months baby = 1/4 cup for 8 & 9 months baby = 1/2 cup for 10 – 12 months baby = 3/4 cup
FOR BULK POWDER ( oats almond powder )
Ingredients: almonds (badam) – 6 oats ( any oats ) – 1 cup or 250 gms
Method: Step 1) Heat a big pan. Roast the almonds for just 1 minute and remove from heat. let it cool
Step 2) Add the oats to the same hot pan and roast for 3 minutes or until very hot to touch. keep moving the oats to roast evenly.. After 2 minutes, check if its hot.. if very hot to touch, remove from heat and transfer to a plate. let it cool for 20 minutes..
Step 3)Time to grind: Mix the almonds and oats.. Take a dry grinder and grind the oats & almonds in 2 – 3 batches.
Step 4) Add the powder into a clean container. Check if any unground almond pieces are left in the powder. ( if you find any almond pieces, add it to the blender, grind it to a smooth powder and add the powder )
Step 5) If the powder bowl is warm to touch, let it cool for 20 minutes before closing with a lid. Once cool to touch, close with a lid and store inside the cupboard or pantry. You can use this powder up to 1 month.

Some babies can be allergic to nuts. Check for allergy signs for the next 2 days when introducing nuts
If you have a family history of allergies, please check with your baby’s doctor before starting nuts or this recipe
Ingredients: Coconut – 1 cup cumin seeds – half tsp small onions ( shallots ) – 3 ginger – half tsp coriander leaves – 2 tbsp water – 1 cup ( 250 ml or as needed to make chutney )
Method:
Step 1) Add all the ingredients (except water ) into the mixie blender and grind for 10 seconds. Pour water and grind for 2 minutes or until smooth.
Step 2) Take a sauce pan, pour half-cup of ground chutney, 1 cup ( 250 ml – boiled & cooled water ) and heat on high. Once it starts boiling around the edges, turn off the heat.
Light coconut chutney for baby is ready. you can use for mashing idli dosa for baby.
RECIPE 1 – IDLI with light coconut chutney for baby
Ingredients: idli – 1 or 2 ( depends on the size ) light coconut chutney ( as needed )
Method:
Step 1) Take a bowl. Add 2 or 3 medium-sized idli pieces into the bowl. Pour the light coconut chutney and mash into a smooth puree. ( Add more light coconut chutney if needed to make an easy-to-swallow consistency for baby ).
note: feed half-spoon at a time and not spoonful’s as this is medium-thick puree.
RECIPE 2 – DOSA with banana for baby
Ingredients: dosa batter – to make 3 small oothappam dosas banana – 1 ripe ( mashed ) boiled & cooled water – 1 cup ( 200 ml )
Method:
Step 1) Grease dosa pan and make 2 or 3 small dosas ( oothappam dosa ). Cook bottom-side for 1 minute or until light golden color. Flip and cook other-side for 40 seconds. remove from pan.
Step 2) Take a bowl. Add 2 or 3 small dosa pieces into the bowl. Pour some boiled and cooled water, mash well and add into a bowl. Now mash half of ripe banana, mix the dosa pieces and mash well. ( Should be an easy-to-swallow consistency for baby ). Pour into a bowl and feed baby.
note: you can also use the light coconut chutney and mash into a smooth puree ( just like the idli recipe ). ( Add more light coconut chutney if needed to make an easy-to-swallow consistency for baby ).
