LUNCH - DAL (LENTIL) & PUMPKIN MASH FOR 8 MONTHS BABY
INGREDIENTS: DAL / LENTIL ( MUNG DAL OR TUR DAL ) – 1 TBSP PUMPKIN – HALF CUP ( OR 100 GMS ) WATER – 1 CUP ( OR 250 ML )

DINNER - FISH PUREE FOR 8 MONTHS BABY
INGREDIENTS: FISH ( SALMON OR ANY LESS SMELLY FISH ) – BONELESS, SKINLESS – 100 gms TOMATO ( GRIND AND USE ) – 1 WATER – HALF CUP OR 100 ml TURMERIC POWDER – A PINCH

Step 1) Add all the ingredients into a sauce pan. Cover and bring it to a boil
Step 2) Once it starts boiling, reduce heat to low and cook for 15 minutes.

Ingredients: Carrot – half cup ( or 100 gms ) grated Banana – half (ripe) All purpose flour or rice flour – 1 tbsp Water – 1 tbsp
Method:
Step 1) Take a bowl, add the banana and mash well using a fork or fingers. Add 1 tbsp water and mix well. Add the grated carrot, flour and mix well. Should be a thick batter.
Step 2) Heat a pancake pan or Tawa/skillet on medium-heat. Grease with butter or oil. Spoon small pancakes and cook both-sides for 1 minute or until firm. Remove to a plate and feed baby.
TIP:This pancake can also be made with egg. To make with egg, add 1 egg to the same batter and mix well. Follow STEP 2 for cooking.

Method:
Step 1) Into a bowl add the banana and mash until smooth. Add the egg and whisk well.
Step 2) Grease a pancake pan or skillet using oil or butter. Pour the batter and make small pancakes. Cook both sides until light brown ( takes 30 seconds to a minute on medium-heat ). Once ready, remove to a plate.
To feed: For toothless baby – mash the pancakes, add half banana, mash well and feed For 2+ teeth baby/ teething baby – cut the pancakes into tiny pieces and feed

Method:
Step 1) Add all ingredients into a sauce pan (except banana for recipe #1).
Step 2) Cover and bring it to a boil. Once it starts boiling, reduce heat to low and cook for 10 minutes ( until the vegetables are very soft and mashable ).
Once ready, remove the vegetable pieces to a bowl and mash until soft. Add to the rice & dal porridge and mix. Pour into a bowl and feed
note: For recipe #1 – with banana: Mash the banana and add to the cooked porridge before feeding.
