 RICE & DAL POWDER RECIPE FOR 6 - 24 MONTHS BABY

Ingredients:
Rice ( any cooking rice ) – 1 cup or 200 gms
Mung dal ( yellow lentil ) – 1 cup or 200 gms

 RECIPE #1 - RICE DAL POWDER with BANANA ( for 6 - 24 MONTHS BABY ) #babyfood

Rice and dal powder – 1 tbsp
Water – 1 cup ( 250 ml )
Banana – half (ripe)

 RECIPE #2 - RICE DAL POWDER with POTATO SPINACH ( for 6 - 24 MONTHS BABY ) #babyfood

Ingredients:
Rice dal powder – 1 tbsp
Water – 1 cup ( 250 ml )
Spinach – 1/2 cup or 100 gms ( finely chopped )
Potato – 1/2 cup or 100 gms ( peeled & chopped )
Ghee or butter – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – a pinch
Coriander powder – a pinch

 RECIPE #3 - RICE DAL POWDER with SWISS CHARD & DATES( for 6 - 24 MONTHS BABY ) #babyfood

Ingredients:
Rice dal powder – 1 tbsp
Water – 1 cup ( 250 ml )
Swiss chard or Spinach – 1/2 cup or 100 gms ( finely chopped )
Dates – 1 ( remove seed and cook )
Ghee or butter – 1 tsp

 RECIPE #4 - RICE DAL POWDER with CARROT & CAULIFLOWER( for 6 - 24 MONTHS BABY ) #babyfood

Ingredients:
Rice dal powder – 1 tbsp
Water – 1 cup ( 250 ml )
Cauliflower – 1/2 cup or 100 gms
Carrot or Squash or pumpkin – 1/2 cup or 100 gms ( peeled & chopped )
Turmeric powder – a pinch
Coriander powder – a pinch

 RECIPE #5 - RICE DAL POWDER with APPLE & DATES ( for 6 - 24 MONTHS BABY ) #babyfood

Ingredients:
Rice dal powder – 1 tbsp
Water – 1 cup ( 250 ml )
Apple – 1/2 cup or 100 gms ( peeled & chopped )
Dates – 1 ( remove seed and cook )

 RECIPE #6 - RICE DAL POWDER with BEETROOT & SPINACH ( for 6 - 24 MONTHS BABY ) #babyfood

Ingredients:
Rice dal powder – 1 tbsp
Water – 1 cup ( 250 ml )
Spinach ( palak ) – 1/2 cup or 100 gms ( finely chopped )
Beetroot – 1/2 cup or 100 gms ( peeled & finely chopped )
Turmeric powder – a pinch
Cumin powder – a pinch

Method:

Step 1) Add all ingredients into a sauce pan (except banana for recipe #1).

Step 2) Cover and bring it to a boil. Once it starts boiling, reduce heat to low and cook for 10 minutes ( until the vegetables are very soft and mashable ).

Once ready, remove the vegetable pieces to a bowl and mash until soft. Add to the rice & dal porridge and mix. Pour into a bowl and feed

note:
For recipe #1 with banana: Mash the banana and add to the cooked porridge before feeding.
