Simple Vegetable Rice ( for Toddler and Family )
Easy Vegetable Rice to encourage your little ones to eat veggies ..
Ingredients: ( For Vegetable Rice )
1 Cup – Rice ( rinsed )
2 Cups – Water
2 tsp – oil
1 tsp – garlic ( chopped or paste )
1 – Onion (chopped)
salt – to taste
optional – 1/4 tsp pepper
1 Cup – Mixed Vegetable pieces (carrot, beans,
broccoli, peas, corn )
Method:
Step 1) Get ready with all the ingredients
Step 2) Heat a deep pan and pour 2 tsp oil
Step 3) Add the garlic and cook for 10 seconds
Step 4) Add the chopped onion and cook for 3 minutes ( on medium-heat )..
Step 5) Add the mixed-vegetables and cook for 5 minutes on medium heat..
Step 6) Add the rice, water and mix
Step 7) Add salt, pepper and mix
Step 8) Turn the heat high, cover and bring it to a boil
Step 9) Once it boils, reduce the heat to low and cook for 20 minutes..
Vegetable rice is ready .. gently fluff the rice before serving..
To Serve your toddler: Place a cup of rice in a bowl, let it cool down and then serve..
