VEGETABLE RICE RECIPE ( FOR PICKY TODDLERS & KIDS )
INGREDIENTS:
RICE – 1 CUP ( OR 250 GMS )
WATER – 1.5 CUPS ( OR 400 ML )
OIL – 1 TBSP
SALT – TO TASTE
GHEE – 1 TBSP
GARLIC – 1 ( CRUSDED OR PASTE )
CARDAMOM – 2
CABBAGE – 1 CUP ( CHOPPED FINE )
CARROT – 1 CUP ( GRATED FINE )
SPINACH ( PALAK ) – 1 CUP ( CHOPPED FINE )
TURMERIC POWDER – HALF TSP
CUMIN POWDER – 1/4 TSP
CORIANDER POWDER – HALF TSP
SALT TO TASTE
METHOD:
STEP 1) COOK RICE: ADD RICE, WATER, OIL, SALT AND BRING IT TO A BOIL. ONCE IT STARTS BOILING, REDUCE HEAT TO LOW AND COOK FOR 10 MINUTES
STEP 2) WHILE RICE IS COOKING.. COOK THE VEGETABLES..
- HEAT A BIG PAN, ADD GHEE, GARLIC, MIX FOR 20 SECONDS
- ADD CARROT, CABBAGE, SPINACH, CARDAMOM AND MIX. COVER AND COOK FOR 5 MINUTES ON MEDIUM-HEAT
- ADD TURMERIC POWDER, CUMIN POWDER, CORIANDER POWDER, SALT AND MIX. COOK FOR 3 MINUTES.
- ADD THE COOKED RICE AND MIX GENTLY. YUMMY VEGETABLE RICE READY 😀
